The dream started to become a reality in 1972 when building began in what would become the town of Ciudad Quesada - named of course after himself. By 1999 the dream had become a reality when Quesada opened its own Town Hall. The main commercial centre of Quesada is just through the archway and here you will find a good selection of shops, bars and restaurants, Quesada also boasts a Social Club, a Medical Centre and an eighteen hole golf course. The main access to Ciudad Quesada is through an impressive arched gateway just off the CV-90 road to Torrevieja, and also giving great access is junction 745 of the AP-7 motorway, linking Quesada handily with Alicante, Murcia and Cartagena - For beach lovers, the nearby towns of Guardamar del Segura and Torrevieja can provide all that is needed, Guardamar in particular has miles of clean sandy beaches.Ciudad Quesada can be accessed from Rojales or from the CV-90 Torrevieja to Crevillente road, if travelling on the AP-7 motorway take junction 745 (Torrevieja Norte). The international airports of Alicante and San Javier are just 30 minutes away.
