1990 - 2007 Spanish Property Prices Rocket Daily

This is true and will keep going, but not quite as fast as previous years. Part of the increase in price is due to the trend of estate agents adding a high commission to the property asking price. ( This is not to say estate agents are wrong in doing so ) When all said and done they have to cover their overheads and keep their businesses afloat. For example when the property market was booming there were far more buyers than estate agents. This enabled the agents to keep their commissions to a minimum because they were making many sales per month.

In 2008 this is not the case.

Yes prices have leveled out..........BUT not dropping in value.
( Just look at the prices on the Costa Brava or the Costa del Sol ) With estate agents crowding the streets and fewer buyers about, 'generally' the estate agency will make a smaller number of sales but still have the overheads. Therefore increasing their commission per property!

Beware you have been warned.
